realizations
In his new exhibition of work, Harrison continues to study the idea of himself as the ‘non-artist’, that is, how nature and her forces are the ultimate artist, and how all the shapes and colours and beauty in the art comes directly from that. He starts with basic raw materials and lets these forces, this ‘divine intervention’ work its magic. The work resists definition - the interpretation of the results is infinite, exploratory and ever changing as, of course, is nature herself. Every person’s interpretation depends on their own memories and experiences, but the organic nature of the work is somehow familiar to us all.
